This blog is something I've been asked for by many dedicated readers who regularly read my articles on Seeking Alpha. First and foremost, I would like to thank all of you for your feedback, kind words, and support.
What is this blog about? The short answer: it's about Russia.
The longer answer: I've been reading articles, books, films about Russian economics, society, politics, history for the last 10 years, and I still keep doing it. The goal is simple and, at the same time, complex: I want to understand the country I live in better. Nonetheless, I'm far from being an expert in any of the aforementioned areas. I would humbly call myself an "advanced amateur."
Since there's nothing completely black and white in this world (well, with some physical exceptions), this blog will be about navigating through half-tones of Russia as a country. My opinion on many things happening in Russia will differ from more popular viewpoints (including "non-mainstream" ones), and I'm not willing to please a particular group of people with identical political or any other views.
Sometimes you may feel uncomfortable or confused after reading some of my posts - and that's great! It means we have something to discuss! Feel free to share ideas, thoughts, and suggestions to my email.
How regularly I'll post here? I hope I'll post something interesting at least once a week, but I can't 100% promise that.
