It is God Almighty who directs my path
And sends His angel ahead of me.
My course is set, the journey prepared,
The road stretches forward—open and free.
I follow the One who calls me near,
The One who appeared, the One who bled—
Who loved me enough to humble Himself,
And reached down with mercy where I was led.
He has always existed, the great "I AM,"
Creator of sea and of solid land.
He reigns in all directions, far as eyes can see—
Yet chose me from billions with His loving hand.
He speaks through His Word, He teaches by Spirit,
He shelters like a faithful, everlasting Father.
He gathers the lost and welcomes the weary—
To all who believe, He is our Hosanna!
He entered our world and walked among us,
Delivering souls from bondage and sin.
And when we hear the Gospel of grace,
Our hearts are transformed from deep within.
What is the gospel in six simple words?
"The Lord has taken my place."
He did this not just for me alone,
But for all of Adam’s fallen race.
He ransomed my soul from a cruel captor,
Promising life if I truly believe—
That death holds no sting, no lasting claim,
And eternal life I will receive.
He gave me faith to trust His truth,
To stand on promises ever sure.
He took my filthy rags away
And clothed me in robes white and pure.
Now when I come before Him in prayer,
The glory of Christ is all they see—
For I’ve been washed by His living Word,
And in Him, I am forever clean.
So I give thanks to the Lord Most High
For all He’s done and all He’ll be.
He is my shield, my song, my strength—
And who I was created to be, I will be.
