We are rebranding
The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche asked, "Is life not a thousand times too short for us to bore ourselves?"
Indeed it is! And for the remaining half of the year, we are renaming the podcast as well as playing with different podcast formats. Of course we will still have important discussions but we can have some fun while at it. I am excited about the rebrand, are you?
You can't resist change when the time has come
Hasn't this half of the year began with a bang though? After 14 years of power, UK citizens decided to send the Conservatives home, welcoming the Labour Party under the leadership of the new prime minister Sir. Keir Stammer. The Labour Party won with a landslide majority, a clear signal that the people had had enough. And you know who else has had enough? The citizens of Kenya. Tired of not being heard, they held nationwide protests and even stormed into parliament causing MPs(members of parliament) to run for safety through underground tunnels. The protests were fueled by bad governance and a draconian finance bill that the country's leadership was determined to force into law. The country's president, whom citizens refer to as Zakayo (Swahili for Zacchaeus the tax collector in the Bible) has since withdrawn the bill as well as dissolved his cabinet. Unfortunately, due to police brutality, several people died during these protests. Most of the participants were young people (Gen Z).

What are you looking forward to this second half ?
