A poem I wrote for my sister who’s in the hospital today giving birth to her second son. My mom told me today that the other day I hurt her (my sister’s) feelings when she told me and my son goodbye and she loved us and we didn’t say anything back— I didn’t hear her, but I still felt bad today about it.
Here it is, keep in mind, I’m no master poet, yet:
I See You
You may not even know it
But youre an inspiration to me.
The way that you keep showing up,
Youre growing like a tree.
Or how about the way,
You make other people smile,
Now, i dont know if you know this,
But that makes you worth the while.
I hope you get this Message
I hope you know it's True
I hope you've learned its Lessons,
and now know that I See You.
