Thanks to you, we were able to raise 75% in just over 24 hours for a work trip to New York City! And also, before that, we closed the budget deficit baseline goal of the ongoing crowdfunding campaign "The New Beginnings" within a week. And that's without video or streaming. During this period, grants and introduction to the English-speaking nonprofit sector also came up, and there were several events I participated in - and there was a whole bag full of opportunities that I need to make sure we don't miss. All of this will help me focus now on the cause and prepare for the trip.
It's kind of out of the blue, but a lot of work has gone into making this happen, through the efforts of hundreds of thousands of people throughout our activities since 2011. We were invited to New York for a reason - we were planning to build a city with these people (earlier I have posted in the sponsor chats one of the city options, which we really worked on and gathered a working group). Let's see now what the real partnership with them and other smart city teams will be, and how many more such nice twists and turns there will be. The hardest time we've had has already passed.
I think we will regain people's faith in the direction set by Jacque Fresco and get even more support, especially now working in an English-speaking environment. By hiring a professional team and perhaps finding some more committed volunteers, I will be able to focus more on development, opportunities, grants, partnerships, events, press, organizing big and ambitious tasks.
I will try to make the most of these opportunities. Thank you for that!
