Hello everyone! 🐝

Hello everyone! 🐝
I’m Marijn, a passionate beekeeper based in Sneek The Netherlands. This is my very first post here, and I’m excited to share my journey with you!

I care deeply about bees, biodiversity, and protecting our environment. One of the projects I’m currently working on is developing selective traps to protect our hives from the invasive Asian hornet 🐝🪰. This invasive species is new to our country and poses a serious threat to honeybees, fruit trees, and local biodiversity—which is already declining rapidly. If left unchecked, the impact on our ecosystems could be even worse.

Alongside this, I’ll be sharing stories, tips, and insights from my apiary, as well as little projects and discoveries along the way. I hope to inspire others to care for our buzzing friends and the natural world around us.

Stay tuned, and let’s make the world a little sweeter—and safer for bees—together! 🍯
