Beekeeping is a wonderful hobby for me, but it also comes with significant costs. I spend a lot of time and money keeping my bees healthy and helping nature thrive. The spread of the Asian hornet, however, makes it necessary to take extra action.
With a 3D printer, I can create selective traps that catch only the Asian hornet while leaving other insects unharmed. I don’t just want to use these traps myself—I aim to distribute them for free to beekeepers, fruit growers, and neighbors. Together, we can protect our bees and biodiversity.
I cannot fund this project on my own, so I am asking for donations. Every contribution helps make this project possible.
The investment will cover:
3D printer – a reliable and affordable printer to make the traps.
Filament (PETG) – strong and durable material, suitable for outdoor use.
Parts & maintenance – to keep the printer running smoothly.
Educational material – each trap comes with instructions on proper use and how to handle any bycatch.
👉 As a donor, you are warmly invited to pick up a trap yourself. And if I still have honey available, you’ll also receive a jar of delicious honey. Your support directly contributes to the project—and you get something tangible in return.
With your help, I can produce traps, distribute them, and educate people. Every donation helps protect our bees 🐝 and nature 🌱.
Together, we can make a difference. Thank you! 💛
