I've decided to add some pieces of short stories I've began. These truly are just the beginning of an idea and had forgotten even starting some of these, but here you go. Leave a comment if you would like some continuation and I'll see what comes around.
SAFE HARBOUR LIGHTS
There was a body on the beach. It was discovered by Jimmy Saunders two days ago. Jimmy told me he was walking home and thought he would take the beach around the harbour. At first he said he thought it may have been a seal or some other sea creature washed up on the rocks due to the storm that passed through the day before, but as he neared closer to the dark mass he notice something that looked like a hand tangled up in seaweed. Still unconvinced what he was seeing was human, Jimmy inched closer thinking the darkness was playing tricks with his eyes. Slowly stepping not three feet from the mass in the darkness Jimmy became positive what he was looking at was a dead man. The boy turned and ran in the opposite direction kicking sand on his speedy retreat. Seconds later the beach once again became tranquil as the tide lapped at the dead man's foot. A wedding band gleaming in the orange glow of the street lamps that hugged the road around the harbour.
That was two days ago, and at the time I was at my desk just getting ready to leave the precinct when the phone rang.
