Dementia Awareness Month: Honoring Our Jewels of Love
Dear Supporters,
The month of May is Dementia Awareness Month. As I write this short note, I am thinking of my own journey walking alongside a loved one living with this disease.
Family caregivers, like me, are intimately aware of the profound impact this illness has on a family, the individual, and the caregiver themselves. I was incredibly blessed because my loved one was very calm and embracing throughout their journey. However, in talking with my peers, I know firsthand that this is often not the norm.
Shifting the Spotlight to Family Caregivers
This year, the Daisey Celestine Foundation is dedicating its 2026 Jewels of Love campaign to bringing family caregivers to the forefront. We want to honor the silent heroes who provide unconditional love and dedication every single day.
