Over the years, through mentoring (both via Limit Break and independently), I’ve been sharing growing lists of tools, books, podcasts, and other resources that have shaped my skills as a Video Game Producer, many of which also help me design board games.
Last week, while chatting with a friend about giving a talk at Indie Dev Days in Barcelona, I had an idea: Why keep this just for a talk audience? Why not make it accessible anytime, to anyone who needs it?
That was the spark for The Pocket Producer, a minimal, dynamic web app with curated recommendations for (aspiring) Producers to organize, structure, and improve their projects.
Four late-night coding sessions later, the first version is live. It’s simple, it’s fast, and it’s already packed with hand-picked tools I genuinely use. I’ll keep adding more and refining the tags to make the filters even more useful.
It’s just the start, but I’m proud of where it’s heading. 😄
