Ayia Napa vs Protaras. Which one should you choose

imageBoth Ayia Napa and Protaras resorts have beautiful beaches, both resorts have very good restaurants to eat out, both have a good night life.

Let’s see what makes them different.

Ayia Napa

🔹 It is a resort that goes on for 12 km – from Marina Hotel to Ayia Thekla beach. And that is not counting the villas and the hotel close to the Sea Caves area.

🔹 it has a big tourist harbor with many boats.

🔹 it has many restaurants all overt the resort, most of them concentrated in the central area.

🔹 it has many clubs operating till the early hours in the morning.

🔹 it has the biggest Luna Park on the Island and a big Water Park

🔹 many beaches to enjoy along the 12 km, including Nissi Beach

🔹 you can go snorkeling at the MUSAN underwater museum

🔹 beautiful sunsets to watch

🔹 plenty of accommodations are on the hill

🔹 many hotels are not very close to the beaches

🔹 they need to improve the showers on the beaches and the public toilets, especially at the beach close to the harbor

Protaras

🔹 main strip has everything: hotels, restaurants and shops. It will have almost 8 km if you consider Protaras from Crystal Springs hotel to Cavo Zoe.

🔹 it has a boat deck in Protaras and a small harbor in Pernera

🔹 most of the restaurants are on the strip or very close to it.
