With Spooky season upon us I've been feeling inspired by my last video on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Specifically one of the tales I came across when researching Washington Irving's and behind the Headless Horseman.
I've been hard at work editing a new video, narrating one of the stories from the Volksmarchen der Deutschen as found in the English Tales and Romances of the Northern Nations (which you can find for free on Google!)
Part of my making this post is not just to hype it up, but also confess some of my nerves! I'm actually a really shy person IRL, or at least one who avoids drawing attention, so watching myself getting into the storytelling while editing has left me feeling Quite Cringe to be honest
Also definitely been a member of Team Do Too Much with this one. When I started my channel, I told myself I wasn't going to let myself get carried away, put too much pressure on myself and over exert on videos. Yet here I am, days in to editing, scouring the web for just the right historical and AI artwork to pair with the story (bc it's awkward and boring to stare at my face reading off a page for 1.5 hours) (yes, the video is THAT long)
All that to say, I've put in a lot of time and effort on yet another Extremely Niche Video topic, so I hope despite my complete ignoring of the algorithm, people will enjoy it :)
