We understand teachers keep getting issue while working with Google Form. The most troublesome issue would be subjective question such as sentence arrangement question whereby students need to reconstruct the sentence from a group of given words.
The biggest issue for teacher is that students are required to fill in exactly the answer provided by the teacher stated in the Google Form answer. Any additional space, capital letter or symbol in the answer box, Google Form will mark it as wrong.
Since that's the case, we can only control on either the input of the answer or post-process the answer. The second option is rather troublesome when the number of students is large. Hence, we'll work out to control the input instead.
Regular Expression or also known as RegEx, is a pattern matching validation that used in Google Form. The good thing about this is that you can restrict submitter not to input any unwanted text, symbol or spaces.
