Why I’m Halting Paid Subscriptions on Substack
A refusal to hand over biometric data and a commitment to CITC’s independence.
On 11 December 2025, Substack requested that I verify my age in accordance with its obligations under the Australian Online Safety Act.
As a result, I was unable to access Substack until a few days ago. It appears that my account has since been restored without the completion of age‑verification requirements.
I will not provide biometric data to Substack under any circumstances.
Effective immediately, I am pausing all paid subscriptions on the platform indefinitely.
I extend my sincere thanks to all paid subscribers for your support on Substack. It has been genuinely appreciated.
