People often ask why we’re working so hard to build this homestead.
The answer is simple.
We’re not just building a house. We’re building a purpose.
This land will be more than a place to live. It’ll be where we grow food, raise animals, teach our kids and grandkids, learn new skills, make plenty of mistakes, and share every bit of the journey with all of you. We want it to be a place that encourages others to dream a little bigger and realize that you don’t have to have everything figured out to get started.
Right now, we’re incredibly close.
We only have $10,000 left before we can pay cash for the land.
As I’m writing this, we’re sitting at $58 raised (plus whatever came in over the weekend that hasn’t shown up yet). I know that’s a long way from $10,000, but every single contribution reminds us that someone believes in this dream enough to help push it forward.
It may be slow going…
But slow doesn’t mean we’re not moving.
We’ll get there.
One dollar. One supporter. One step at a time.
We’ve chosen to pay cash because we want to start this homestead on a solid foundation instead of beginning with debt hanging over our heads. Every dollar that comes in gets us closer to walking onto that property knowing it’s truly ours.
