It is barely Day 3 of Camp Nanowrimo and ALREADY the inevitable has happened…
I missed a day.
Zero words.
After dragging through my morning for several hours, I decided to accept that the writing was not happening at that moment. So I pivoted to try and salvage what was left of my morning by doing something else instead of just sitting there at my desk with my brain stuck in neutral.
I got some chores done: laundry, phone calls to utility companies (we just moved into a new place), plus a few little errands such as some more unpacking and general cleaning up around here.
But then at the end of the night, I was looking back at my notebook/daily planner thing, and I noticed something scribbled down in there.
Wait! Not Zero!
Hey!
Look at that!
I totally forgot!
I actually did set up my Google doc and got an outline with a few notes written under my H2 subheadings. So I didn’t actually get skunked.
Technically, I wrote 63 words in the morning. None of them were actual sentences. It was just an outline and some keywords here and there.
But 63 words is 63 words.
I’ll take it.
That was it for Day 3.
