This EA keeps your terminal connected, and connected fast.
Everyone has connection issues, sometimes your MT4/5 can automatically re-connect to your broker server after disconnected, but sometimes they just don't. Sometimes your MT4/5 connects to a very slow server and never going back to the fastest one.
Well, all these issues can be solved by simply doing a "Rescan servers". But you won't be watching your terminal 24 hours a day, then let this EA watch and do it for you.
Parameter and Logic Flow Introduction
Rescan Function Enabled - Enable rescan function, if False, this EA will only display information but won't do any action.
Check Interval - Perform a connection check every x seconds.
High Ping Threshold (ms) - Consider as High Ping status if Ping is higher than this value, enter a value a bit bigger than your fastest Ping. For example, if your lowest Ping to server is 43.4ms, enter 70 here.
Rescan Routine 1 - Disconnected
When connection to the server is disconnected
Wait "On Disconnected Wait Time"
Do a rescan
Wait "Until Connected Time Interval"
Do a rescan
Repeat from 4 until reconnected to server
Rescan Routine 2 - High Ping
When Pingto the server is high than "High Ping Threshold"
Wait "On High Ping Wait Time"
Do a rescan
Wait "Until Ping Lowered Time Interval"
Do a rescan
Repeat from 4 until Ping to server is equal to or lower than "High Ping Threshold"
Rescan Routine 3 - Daily
A rescan command will be issued at the specific time of the day. Time is calculated using your computer's time, not the broker time.
Functionality Test Before Going Live
Before you use this in your demo or live account, you have to test if the "Rescan" function is working for your MT4/5 terminal. Please follow the steps to perform the test:
For MT4 version:
Attach the EA to a new chart, any currency pair and timeframe will be fine, and make it running
Right-click the network traffic indicator on the bottom-right of your MT4 terminal
From the available server location menu, select the one with the highest Ping
After MT4 connected to the slowest server, click "Rescan Now" button on the EA interface
Your MT4 should now do a Rescan and then connect to the fastest server in a few seconds, then it is working
For MT5 version:
Start the EA in a new chart, click the "Rescan Now", if the message "scanning network for access points" appears in the Journal, then it is working.
