📻 Letter from the Little Station on Commercial Street

July 2026

Dear friends,

When someone buys a coffee or becomes a member, they probably imagine they're helping pay for a website or a few broadcasts.

What you've really helped build is something much larger.

Over the past year, Chesterton Radio has quietly grown into what I like to call the little station on Commercial Street here in Atchison, Kansas—a place where classic radio, great books, original Father Brown mysteries, Morning Prayer, deep-dive podcasts, and thoughtful conversation all have a home.

It's become more than a YouTube channel.

It's become a place.

That happened because people like you believed this work was worth supporting.

Every article, every restored broadcast, every original story, every morning prayer, every late night spent editing audio or writing the next chapter has been made a little easier because someone decided to help keep the station on the air.

For that, I simply want to say...

Thank you.

Today I introduced a new set of membership levels—Lamp Lighter, Station Keeper, Producer's Circle, Founder's Circle, Steward's Circle, and Founding Steward.

They aren't meant to divide supporters into different groups.

They're simply different ways of describing the many people who are helping build this little station together.

Whether you've bought one coffee, become a monthly member, shared a broadcast with a friend, or simply listened quietly from somewhere across the world, you've become part of the story of Chesterton Radio.

I'm grateful you're here.

Over the coming months you'll see more original fiction, more Father Brown mysteries, more Morning Prayer, more classic radio restorations, more deep-dive podcasts, and a few surprises I've been quietly working on.

This is the first of what I hope will become an occasional tradition: Letters from the Little Station on Commercial Street.

A chance to share what we're building, thank the people who make it possible, and remind ourselves that there is still room in the world for stories, ideas, and wonder.

Thank you for helping keep the lights on...

the microphones warm...

and the door open.

Come in. Stay awhile.

The door is always open.

With gratitude,

Paul Korzenecki
