What My Dream (and Reality) Taught Me About Trust, Intuition, and Synchronicity
Ten days before we got the emergency call about a man stabbed in the left arm, I dreamed the exact scene.
Same injury. Same arm. Same eerie feeling.
But that wasn’t the only thing haunting me.
One morning, I woke up with two dreams that still linger.
First, my late grandmother—gone a decade ago. I was preparing her a snack. In return, she gave me a bowl of water. I asked for it and was about to drink, assuming it was clean. But it was full of dirt and debris. And she looked at me and said, “Don’t place your trust too quickly.”
Second, I dreamed of someone else from my past—someone special. We haven’t spoken for three years, but in the dream, we were together in a car. A man outside slashed his left arm. Bleeding, that special someone still drove forward, calm and strong. I offered to wrap his arm with a tourniquet.
That’s all I remembered. Until 10 days later, when the emergency call came in. A man, stabbed—left arm. Same spot.
Coincidence? Or something deeper?
Maybe it’s worth noting that the day I had the dream marks a year since my doctor passed. The day after that was a year since I met someone who made me believe in twin flames. He told me we didn’t connect. But his energy never left.
And so I wonder: Were those dreams just dreams? Or were they reflections of grief, intuition, and unfinished stories?
My grandmother’s words—“Don’t place your trust too quickly”—still echo. Not in fear, but as a reminder to walk carefully. To trust wisely. To stay awake to the signs.
Because sometimes, what feels like a dream… is a message.
