This is one of the shortest sections of the syllabus. It covers concepts involving wave behavior and types of waves. The dual nature of light (referred to as wave-particle duality) is also addressed as well as the various theories formulated by scientists in the past to explain this duality. The section ends with a close look at how lenses work.
