Dear people,
Just a quick note from us to say thank you - from the bottom of our hearts - for helping make the orchard happen.
With your support, we were able to plant 26 heirloom fruit trees (full list below), bring in 1,000 litres of compost to give them a good start, and buy a wood chipper—so we’ll always have mulch to keep them happy in the years to come.
We’re also deeply grateful to everyone who literally lent a hand—clearing the overgrown field, digging holes, and planting trees with us.
And a big thank you to GreenSecure (https://green-secure.com) for providing the biodegradable tree protectors that will help the young trees establish themselves.
We’ve named the orchard Corte del Ponente—the garden where the sun sets. It felt right for this west-facing field, and for something that we hope will quietly grow and outlast us.
Thank you for being part of this.
