It's not often I get to make a 'first post' on social media. Although I tend to swim in the waters of Twitter, and more recently Instagram, I have found other platforms a little 'beyond me'. I'm not on Snapchat, or TikTok and I very rarely check my LinkedIn profile.
However, Buymeacoffee intrigues me. If you know me, you know that I share almost everything that I create. Everything. For free. I do this because if a resource helps my students, then it might help yours too, and thus sharing that resource freely can only be a positive thing. For that reason you won't find me on TpT, although I acknowledge that this stance also comes from a position of privilege. If I wasn't teaching where I am, then perhaps I would need to find additional ways to earn some money.
Which brings me back to Buymeacoffee. I think I'll experiment a little on here and use it as an extra branch to my typical tweeting, blogging existence. Perhaps sharing some sneak previews of my creative process, rough drafts of my creations, and generally a behind the scenes look into what I do.
