Hi friends! Camila + Pythagoras here 💛
It’s been a little while since my last report. With so much going on, these updates got pushed to the back burner… but I’m really happy to be back at our cozy little studio table with you.
🐦 The big win: Birbfest complete!
I finished all 31 days of Birbfest, my very first daily art challenge that I’ve completed! 🎉
I’m honestly so proud of myself for sticking with it. Turning it into a postcard series made it feel cohesive and fun, and it helped me stay motivated even on the days when energy was low.
🌿 Slowing down (in a good way)
Now that Birbfest is done, I’m switching to weekly challenges to help prevent burnout from daily art. I still love the structure and the community vibe of challenges, but weekly pacing feels healthier right now.
Here’s what I’m doing next:
Puppy Love 🐶💌
Funguary 🍄✨
Cozy Critters 🐭📚
🖼️ Goals on the horizon
Lately I’ve been thinking more about the “real life” side of art too. I’m starting to lean into learning how to make printsof my work and maybe even some stickers one day. Commissions still aren’t open yet, but it’s something I’m interested in down the line. (Pythagoras is taking notes… 👀🐯)
🗂️ Gallery updates coming soon
I’ll be updating my BMAC gallery with more Birbfest postcards and pieces from my latest weekly challenges. If you’ve been following along, thank you for being here, it genuinely makes this feel like a little community studio corner.
📚 Tiny life update: reading nook
I finished one book recently: With a Dog and a Cat, Every Day is Fun by Hidekichi Matsumoto. I loved the art style, but the stories were super short, sometimes I wished the shenanigans lasted longer than a page!
Next up, I’m starting Murder in an Irish Village by Carlene O’Connor. My library has digital e-books, so I’m taking full advantage of that hehe 😄
💛 Before I go…
If you’ve been working on anything lately; art, crafts, books, games, anything, tell me what you’ve been up to. I love when this space feels like a cozy corner we all share.
Until next time,
Camila + Pythagoras 🐯✨
