Welcome to my Buy Me A Coffee ☕️

Dec 06, 2020

Hey, my people! 👋🏻

Welcome to my onlyfans, I mean my Buy Me A Coffee 🥴

Photography? Photography.
This year has honestly been insane for all of us and that's me included. I started out my photography at the end of February when I bought a secondhand camera from my friend @johanvividd. March came around and I was getting into the swing of things and BAM. Lockdown.

Lockdown was interesting. Besides other things, I started watching Mango Street, Vuhlanders and many other photography people on YouTube. This kinda sparked a little bit of a fire in my heart to really go out there and give photography my best effort. I also fell in love with the idea of film/analogue photography.

I shot my first roll of film during lockdown when I found an old camera that belongs to my best friends dad. He let me borrow it, I bought some film and I fell in love. There is just something so tangible about shooting film and it really made me fall in love with photography even more. Also here are some shots from that historic roll of Fuji Colour C200, shot on a Pentax K1000.

My goal.
My goal in life is to be happy and content with the life I live. That doesn't sound like much but it's the most desirable to me. I've realised that photography makes me happy. It allows me to capture memories in a way that makes sense to me and has allowed me to meet so many new people. It's given me a voice, a way to be heard and seen. So I'm going to do everything I can to keep doing it.

This leads me to Buy Me A Coffee.
It ultimately made sense. This platform allows people to support when they want, with however much they want. I started this page to just use it for donations and that sort of thing but after deep-diving into its capabilities, I've decided to focus a little more energy into this weird and wonderful world of supporting creators.

What does this mean for the future?
This means that over the next few weeks or months (however long it takes), I will be looking into and most likely be setting up some sort of monthly subscription where people can subscribe for a monthly fee and receive exclusive member perks, the "donate when you can" option will still be alive and kicking for those you would rather give when they feel like they want to. These perks are still in the works but it will be stuff like receiving a physical print from me every month and getting access to exclusive content, getting sneak peeks and that sort of thing.

This would allow me to earn some sort of monthly income from my photography (besides doing shoots), as well as help, support my financial needs (like paying for university and petrol and more photography stuff).

Wrapping up.
This is very experimental for me and I'm bound to slip up and fumble but I'm really excited to see where this goes. I'm already taken aback by the support I've received here, on my Instagram and in regards to people booking shoots.

I'm a very community-driven person and I would love to hear from you and hear your ideas on what you've read here today. Please message me on insta or if you have my number or email me. Do whatever.

Have a wonderful day further.
Lots of love,
Cameron Raine Blake
