My name is Camelia Rodriguez Camara. I'm a Filipina American pastry chef based in Des Plaines, Illinois (suburb of Chicago). I started my business Camelia Bakes in 2017 and I specialize in desserts and pastries. I aim to show off popular Filipino flavors like ube, mango, pandan, and calamansi.
I currently sell my desserts as a certified cottage food vendor through online sales and at local pop-up events and markets. I hope to open my own storefront someday where, in addition to selling my baked goods, I can host events showcasing other local entrepreneurs, creators, artists, crafters, musicians, authors, and chefs.
