For over a decade Jaiden and I have shared our experiences and journey with the world through our writing and video’s. Since I first started in early childhood at 15 I wanted to do nothing more than work with youth, and through my writing I have been lucky enough to help and inspire thousands upon thousands of people. Jaiden has always had an interest in cars, and through some very generous people we’ve met they have helped him find discover how he can pursue his passion while also giving back to the youth. Jaiden and I now find ourselves on the 50+ acre property, the ideal place to turn our dreams into a reality.
We are seeking to turn the land into a healing and learning facility. Giving families a “walk in walk out” camping experience designed for total immersion in nature. Combining animal therapy, wood and metal work, growing food, off grid living and primitive technologies to help open up children to new ideas, experiences and ways of living. We will welcome ALL families, however much of the focus will be on creating experiences for neurodiverse families, something I have become passionate about given my own journey as a sole parent to a neuro-spicy son. This will NOT be a campground open to the public, and guests will be accepted on a case by case basis with a maximum of 5 families sharing the entire property.
I will also be running weekend workshops for young lads to come out and camp at the property whole offering a range of activities designed to help expand their skillset. More importantly, learning strategies to enable them to process their emotions, to open up and seek help when required. I believe young men can benefit hugely from finding outlets for their testosterone fuelled energy, this will be another focus of the program. Weekend getaways will be spit between lads and their dads, and lad only weekends for those without a father figure, or who have fathers unable to commit to a weekend away.
Jaiden will be launching his youth motorsport team called Youngblood motorsport. I’ll hand it over to Jaiden to explain it further.. “I have been lucky enough to have lots of different racing teams take me under their wing and help me along my journey by showing me the ropes of racing. These race teams are who inspired me to chase my own dream and I want to give the same experiences I had to other kids, and inspire the next generation of mechanics, racing drivers, pit crew, tuners, or just car lovers! The aim of Youngblood is to connect with other car loving youth and teach them many different fundamentals of cars and motorsport. This will range from teaching the basics to how to service a car, to having kids come out to the track and be a part of the pit crew on my competition drift car. In the future I will also have cars for kids 12+ to learn to drive / drift in a controlled environment for those kids who want to get behind the wheel!”
By supporting Jaiden and myself you will be contributing towards facilitating our dreams. Money will go directly to land clearing, building the basic infrastructure required, buying tools, tents and camping gear for guests, installing basic toilet / shower facilities etc etc. The sooner we are setup, the sooner we can start taking guests and changing lives.
Both Jaiden I want nothing more than to spend the rest of our positively impacting as many people as possible. But to do that, we’ll need you to buy us a coffee..
