A person fell into a pit and couldn’t get out.
A SUBJECTIVE person came along and said: "I FEEL for you, down there in that pit."
An OBJECTIVE person came along and said:” It’s logical that someone would fall, down there in that pit. "
A HIGHER THINKING person came along: "You only THINK that you are in a pit."
A PHARISEE said: "Only BAD people fall into a pit."
A MATHEMATICIAN calculated HOW hard the person hit when they fell into the pit.
A NEWS REPORTER wanted the exclusive story on the pit.
A FUNDAMENTALIST said: "You DESERVE your pit."
A COMPASSIONATE PERSON said: “It’s the pits to be in that pit."
A PSYCHOLOGIST said: "Your pit is only a state of mind."
A REALIST said: "Yep, that’s a PIT."
A COUNTY INSPECTOR asked the person if they had a permit to dig that pit?
A COUNTY ASSESSOR asked them if they’ve “been paying taxes on that pit while they were occupying it.”
A GEOLOGIST suggested they enjoy the rock strata while in the pit.
A PROFESSOR gave them a lecture on: "The Elementary Principles of statistical analysis on why most people fall into pits."
A FAITH HEALER said: "Just CONFESS that you’re not in a pit and that pit has no power over you."
An OPTIMIST said: "Things COULD be worse."
A PESSIMIST said: "Things WILL get worse!!"
A SELF CENTERED PERSON said, "That's nothing...you ought to see MY PIT"
JESUS, seeing the man, took him by the hand and LIFTED HIM OUT of the pit.
If you find yourself in a pit of some kind, you will have a lot of people telling you about the pit and what you can do. I would lovingly suggest to you that if you call on Jesus, He WILL touch your life and you will find peace and freedom from your pit.
Psalm 40:2 "He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along."
