Only 20% of the children in the nearby Primary school can swim in the deep - so 80% of the children and half the teachers who also can’t swim are at a risk of drowning whenever they are on the water. We think that is a terrible statistic and are raising funds for the BVI Community Swimming Program who are putting an above ground swimming pool near the school and going to provide lessons to all 240 students in the school. They are looking to raise 40K to make it happen and Emma is going to sail a Topper around Tortola single handed non stop to raise funds for them. This is going to be a 6-8 hour sail depending on conditions and tide. We are aiming for as close to 10K as possible so please support her with a contribution!
