It’s 2024 and it’s time to seriously think about the importance of YOU, YOUR PASSION and YOUR FUTURE.
Focusing on your dreams, aspirations and goals should extend beyond your school/classroom and let me tell you why…
PERSONAL GOALS and DEVELOPMENT exceeds outside the classroom. Like anyone else, you have ambitions and interests that may not be fulfilled solely through teaching and/or leading. (“Shocking” huh?!?)
Pursuing entrepreneurial ventures or seeking your dream promotion can provide opportunities for your personal growth, allowing you to develop new skills and broaden your horizon (and, I encourage you to focus on it! )
Okay, let’s talk about FINANCIAL STABILITY & SUCCESS. Entrepreneurship (small business) and seeking promotions can offer you the chance to increase your income, and achieve a higher level of financial stability. (Whew, Chile! The struggle is real!) This can lead to improve your quality of life and the ability to invest in your personal and professional development.
MAKING A BROADER IMPACT: While teaching/leading is already a noble profession that contributes to society, we aspire to make a bigger impact by utilizing our
multi-facet skills in other ways. This could involve starting our own educational business, creating innovative teaching methods/curriculum (including TPT) or contributing an impact in other areas in the education sector or outside of education. This one hits home for me! My word for the year is “IMPACT” so I encourage everyone to find their area of making an impact.
UNLOCKING CREATIVITY & INNOVATION: Its all about exploring your creativity and innovation beyond the limits of your school (you’re teaching methods/your leadership skills). Start experimenting with your new ideas, developing your unique solutions and apply your knowledge and skills in different ways which taps into your geniuses.
EXPANDING INFLUENCE & NETWORK: By venturing into entrepreneurship, or seeking promotions or other interests, you can expand your reach and influence. You may have the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals from diverse backgrounds, build valuable connections, and share your expertise beyond the confines of your classroom/school.
CHALLENGING YOURSELF & EMBRACING NEW OPPORTUNITIES: Pushing/stretching yourself outside your comfort zone is key. Being consistent with seeking growth and new challenges is important for your own personal and professional development. So, by exploring entrepreneurial opportunities, or seeking your dream promotion or whatever your dream or aspirations are, you have make sure you embrace new experiences that stimulates your intellectual and creative capacities.
OVERALL, we all have multifaceted skills that can be utilized beyond our current position. We all have dreams, goals, and aspirations so no matter what they are, START THE WORK and see the changes, the growth, and the fulfillment in your life.
Whether your goals are related to other facets of your life like our spiritual, financial, relationships, physical, mental, emotional or finding your purpose you can apply all reasons mentioned above as a reminder of your STRENGTH, your POWER, and your KNOWLEDGE as a guide to help you move from your caterpillar 🐛 stage of life to becoming that beautiful butterfly 🦋
