For the last few weeks, when we are able, We have been baking 100 loaves of sourdough bread for Valley Hope Foundation. They pay for the cost of materials and some overhead and we put in the labor of making them!

We usually break this up into 3 baking days and freeze them to deliver on Tuesday mornings for their distribution days.

Ever wonder what 100 loaves of sourdough look like?

While Valley Hope Foundation is a faith based humanitarian organization, they don't overly proselytize which is important to us. We believe access to food as well as many other human rights shouldn't come with any strings attached, even if well intentioned. Valley Hope has never pushed us to compromise our stance and continually supports the mutual aid we provide in our community. VHF sends us a weekly fresh produce and some non-perishable items that we hand out in our parking lot on Tuesdays. We see directly them helping dozens of families with food security weekly and we are only one of many agencies or groups they distribute to weekly.
