Story writing, album organising & lots of admin "honk shoo mi mi mi"
Despite trips and the MEGA heatwaves in the UK, we have been busy bees!!!
THE STORY:
We've both been away a lot this month so our time has been focussed on story of BTNS. This includes intense planning for future albums and all the nerdy little details we love so much to talk about!
For those who don't know, our project spans across 4 albums (so far). We have written the majority of the story - Pulmonis is just the initial introduction that sets the scene. Away from Pulmonis we've already recorded many demos in place for albums 2, 3 and even one track written for 4...
This short break from recording Pulmonis has been really great for us. It has meant we can travel deeper into the timeline of events and drop in tiny nuggets and connections - and trust us, there are a LOT of connections!
The notebooks are getting scribbled in daily and the world is being built more and more. We can't wait to share it all with you.

THE ALBUM:
Working on Night Watch [track 7] this week. Previously there was a demo out for NW on our Soundcloud but we decided to replace it with Room 617.
We are becoming relaxed about album our release.
We're on schedule on paper but if the past few years has taught us anything it is to remain flexible. It's a fact of life that things pop up out of nowhere, wether that is illness or other things that must take priority. When you have worked on something for so long it is very easy to try and rush to the finish line - we are choosing against that. Pulmonis deserves the time and patience it requires to get it to a place where we're proud of it. Delays will only be a necessity, not out of laziness. Basically, we're choosing to enjoy the process rather than ticking boxes on our schedule, be more in the moment.
This will also only reflect positively on the outcome & we thank you for your continued patience and support!
LIVE STUFF:
We're getting great feedback from the drummers that we are auditioning. It's going well and who knows, maybe we will have someone joining us on stage at the end of this year (fingers crossed).
We have both come to a realisation that we don't feel like live shows should ever be a priority for us... Yes, we love performing a lot but actually writing and crafting albums is where we are both extremely passionate.
It would be super cool to get a drummer for at least a couple shows but we are also content with our 2-person set up. As long as we get to make music together (and obviously perform together) then the other parts are just cool add-ons.
