Born and raised in South Africa. Got my first computer in 1994 and immediately took it apart. Started coding in 1999 (Turbo Pascal :sunglasses:) and have spent the past 24 years working in various roles such as systems design, network engineering, software and firmware engineering and more recently, hardware design and engineering.

Love surfing and the ocean in general, love outdoors and all kinds of adventure and love my wife and 2 kids (sometimes).

Currently busy with my own IOT-based startup as well as a few small open-source projects.
