Meanwhile you might enjoy reading my response to a viewer’s question about the Hermetic axiom ‘As above, so below, and as below, so above’.
QUESTION
Brother my question is about "as above, so below"; " as below, so above". The first part is easy and satisfying if we understand the above to be the purest, then we pray to enact that on earth. But the below, earthlings, are that mix of life- promoting and, in this time, of destruction-promoting. So, it would be crushing to believe that we are creating destruction to be in the above. What does the teachings say?
RESPONSE
Thank you for your heartfelt question. It touches on many different areas, but here are some thoughts that may guide your thinking.
1 The Temple Teaching is all about YOU as the sublime fulfillment of the microcosmos man here on earth. Do not look left or right. Notice how every statue of the King looks straight ahead. There are endless people and distractions all around you, like the Hindu concept of Maya, but this teaching is not for other people; it is specifically for your own conscious evolution through which you can be of greater service to others
2 Are you personally involved in the destruction you speak of? do you or anyone you know start wars and kill people? Such things are created and promoted by a tiny handful of people in authority: they stand somewhere off to your left or right, and their ‘above’ and ‘below’ bear no relation to yours. Pay no attention to them. The first requirement of every initiate is to strive to obey and act in harmony with Cosmic Law.
3 Please also keep in mind that Cosmic Laws apply and operate throughout the entire universe, and the whole of creation acts in obedience to them, which is why it all functions so harmoniously. Here on earth, mankind represents just one tiny, yet significant aspect of all of this. Significant because alone on the planet, God endowed us with a mind that could think and make decisions for ourselves. Thus we are free to choose to obey these laws or not, and I feel this is where your confusion arises.
God is taking care of the Master Plan. So again, it all comes back to YOU. Its entirely your choice. But we live in an age of unprecedented brainwashing, so deciding for yourself isn’t as easy as it used to be. That’s why I created this channel.
