Clearmark Butterfly Mini Lino Print

I would’ve titled this cutie “Amazon Angel,” but if you are anything like me and enjoy looking up critters just because, good luck finding it. Adding “butterfly” to the search term still mostly yields Amazon product listings. A bit of a bummer, unless, of course, you’re in the market for an angel statue with butterfly wings?

I also get nervous about naming my prints too specifically because I have a lot of respect for entomologists and wouldn’t want to mislead folks. “Clearmark Butterfly” felt like a happy middle ground, just in case I messed up some wing markings. (Is my OCD showing? 😬)

I mixed up a translucent blue for the wings because I imagine sitting somewhere on the ground and looking up to see one flying against a blue sky. It’s fun to romanticize little moments like that, especially because I truly believe they are the most magical parts of life.

Because each piece is made by hand, slight variations in ink coverage, texture, placement, and trimming are part of what makes every print unique. Each print features the same design as shown in the sample, but no two are exactly alike. Prints are packaged in penny sleeves and chipboard folders before mailing.
