Hand-carved and hand-printed mini lino print featuring the island fox. 100% of proceeds from this print support recovery efforts in the Channel Islands.
Background
Found nowhere else on Earth, the Island Fox lives on just six of the eight Channel Islands and is the only carnivore endemic to California. While I can’t remember whether I actually spotted one during a high school camping trip on Santa Cruz Island, I like to imagine there was a fox nearby, quietly going about its day.
In May 2026, a fire burned more than 18,000 acres on neighboring Santa Rosa Island — over 30% of the island. I wanted to create something in direct response to those events, especially because it was human-caused and entirely preventable (imo).
Details
Because each piece is made by hand, slight variations in ink coverage, texture, placement, and trimming are part of what makes every print unique. Each print features the same design as shown in the sample, but no two are exactly alike. Prints are packaged in penny sleeves and chipboard folders before mailing.
Impact
This is a fundraising print supporting the Channel Islands National Park Foundation's Resilience Fund. The fund helps support emergency recovery efforts and future resilience planning in the wake of the May 2026 Santa Rosa Island Fire. All proceeds from this print are donated in $50 increments. For transparency, all donation confirmations and summaries can be found here.
