Hello and welcome back to the Tea Spotlight!
A few weeks ago, my husband and I decided to get food from Just Salad. As I'm placing my order, I notice I have a reward I can use. I was able to grab a Saint James Organic Brewed Iced Tea for FREE. Okay, twist my arm. Haha!
Then last week, I finally got to try it, and I posted a video of my tasting on my YouTube channel. Now, here I am giving you my full review. :-)
First, I'm loving the fact that this brand is all-natural and all organic. The fact that it only has four grams of sugar and that comes from organic cane sugar and organic stevia leaf extract is a massive plus in my book. I can't remember if I've mentioned in past posts how I'm trying to live a healthier life and tea has been a big component of that. So, having a bottled one with little sugar and it's organic is pretty awesome in my opinion.
Second, as I mentioned in my video (even though I said the wrong brand), I was kind of hoping it would remind me of Brisk's (not Lipton's) Lemon Iced Tea and you know what ... it did! I was kind of shocked because it truly did remind me of Brisk, but healthier. I wasn't drinking any artificial flavors or an exorbitant amount of sugar in order to enjoy the drink. Now granted, I did mainly taste the lemon, and I did mainly taste the sweetness from the cane sugar and the stevia leaf extract, but it was still really good. The earthy, burnt, bitterness taste of the black tea was uber subtle, kind of an after taste, but again, I still really enjoyed this tea.
Third, and probably the best part about this tea, since it is a black tea, it is naturally caffeinated. You what that means. It helped me wake up! :-) Haha! I wasn't jittery or having heart palpitations or anything like that, but I definitely felt more alert while and after drinking this tea. Yeah, this is going to become a regular in my fridge!
In the end, I definitely recommend this drink. I truly enjoyed it and I can't wait to try the other flavors they offer. Have you tried Saint James drinks before? If so, which ones and what did you think? Let me know by emailing me at [email protected] and lets talk.
Thank you for joining me on this journey! Until next time, take care and drink on!
Please note, I am not getting paid to promote this brand or their drinks. I am just a tea drinker enjoying some new teas. I am also not getting paid to promote Just Salad.
