Durgapur Barrage is built across the Damodar River at Durgapur in Bankura district and partly in Paschim Bardhaman district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It was constructed by Damodar Valley Corporation mainly for the purpose of irrigation and also to supply water to Industrial township of Durgapur.
This is the place where I grew up. My home my hometown.
It's a good place to travel for hitchhikers and get a chance to mix with locals.
