Struggling to Go Vegan? Here's another option...

Oct 21, 2025

Okay…I’m picking up where I left off from the last post. If we just met, you should know that I am dedicating this month to providing you guys with a little more context around who I am, how I got here and why I’m a plant-based advocate.

If you’ve ever tried going vegan, you know it’s not always as simple as it sounds. Veganism is more than just food, it’s a lifestyle. Between figuring out meals, navigating the side eye, and reading endless labels, it can feel overwhelming—especially if you’re just starting your journey toward making more nourishing choices.

Here’s the good news: Everyone can reap the benefits of eating more plants. Yep, that means more fruits, grains and veggies on your plate. A plant-based diet might be the flexible, realistic, and joyful path you’ve been looking for.

A Vegan diet eliminates all animal products—no meat, dairy, eggs, honey, or gelatin. For many, veganism is more than a diet; it’s a lifestyle choice which can have a focus on policy, ethics, sustainability, or animal welfare.

Both approaches encourage eating more plant foods. But it’s tricky. You can technically choose a vegan diet that doesn’t include meat but there are a lot of heavily processed foods on the menu. And you must be careful with labels too. Lots of products on the shelves say plant-based but they are filled with oils and other toxins.
