Have been sorting couple hundred general* pyro demos/clips during past few days:

  • won't be using all of them for 1 video (~2 years worth of saved general pyro demos), sorting them in long session help me contrast and decide what to do

  • want to showcase ones that show more intention (better seen)

  • at least more than half-way done at time of typing this, finishing main sorting pass to have a yes and maybe pile then will make sure of the maybes after that

  • huntsman folder has has a more intimidating amount of demos, not to mention every other of the various folders i have. lots to mention about future stuff but focus on this first.

  • the axtinguisher nerf doesn't seem so bad in retrospect (more thought needed to use weapon, more challenging, mechanic rework, more counterplay for enemy), but the hitscan sniper rifles still run rampant with the irresistible instant long-range damage, strange priorities

*general, compared to more specific categories/playstyles such as pyroshark or wm1 clips

bloom disable (mat_hdr_level 0)

finally disabling bloom for demos, less distraction from blown-out/overexposed shiny whites and closer to what i see in-game. i can do color correction/grading anyway in post/edit if i need to bring out some colors (i already do this). was probably too worried before about changing/messing up graphics settings in Lawena or was too focused on other things
