Iván López Domínguez

Today we introduce you to our percussionist:

Iván López Domínguez was born in Madrid in 2001. He began his percussion journey at the age of 8, at the music school of his hometown. In September 2021, he started his percussion bachelor’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, with his professors Koen Wilmaers, Peterjan Vranckx, and Carlo Willems. His deep love for keyboard instruments pushed him to choose percussion, so you will usually find him behind the marimba or the vibraphone. Iván has always adored the piano, and thus he is taking piano lessons at the Conservatory as well. He has performed in youth and semi-professional orchestras since he was 17 years old and is currently the second percussionist at the Youth Orchestra of Flanders. Chamber music and Spanish traditional music are two of his passions, which is the reason why he decided to join this project.
