No one truly knew what was coming, but here we here where people are becoming jobless on a daily basis, due to AI that is taking over and not showing any sign of stopping.
We are aware of AI chatbots have come a long way in recent years. But nothing is close to what we are consuming today. They transformed how we interact with tech and access information.
Therefore, knowing the most powerful ones that shape our future is a must. We will look at 5 of them and see what suits your needs.
ChatGPT
We all tried ChatGPT at some point and for most, it’s a go-to source for ideas, inspirations, and much more. It was launched in November 2022 by the lab research OpenAI. It’s the first and most powerful AI chatbot that never ever comes public.
It’s an incredibly human-like chatbot that can engage in natural conversations, answer follow-up questions, challenge incorrect premises, admit mistakes, write programming codes, and refuse inappropriate requests. It took the world by storm and spread like wildfire.
Trained on vast datasets and a technique called machine learning, it’s powered by a large language model(LLM), GPT, whose latest version is GPT4.

Bard
In response to the threat from OpenAI giant ChatGPT, on March 21, 2023, Google’s conversational AI chatbot Bard was unveiled. While ChatGPT is based on LLM, GPT, Bard is based on Google’s Large Language Model, LaMDA.
Bard does a better job of answering questions with more relevant information and provides references compared to ChatGPT where Internet access is limited

Bing Chat
After ChatGPT’s breakout success, Microsoft invested billions of dollars in the makers of ChatGPT and supercharged its Bing search engine with the integration of a ChatGPT-based chatbot in February 2023.
Powered by a more updated version of GPT technology, it aims to enhance web searches with an AI assistant that can follow complex queries, provide citations, and refreshingly honest answers.

Claude
Anthropic, The AI company founded by ex-OpenAI employees is the maker of Claude Chatbot. With its first release on March 14, 2023, and the latest version, Claude 2, on July 11.
Claude is a large language model behind Claude Chatbot, whose latest version Claude 2 that can take up to 100,000 tokens in each prompt. This means it can work over hundreds of pages of text or even an entire book.
Its motto “Be helpful, harmless, honest” places human wellbeing front and center.

LLaMA
Yes, Llama is a chatbot but it isn’t the same as ChatGPT, Bard, Bing Chat, or even Claude. It is not a chatbot in and of itself, but it can be used to create chatbots. It is a large language model developed by Meta and release in February 2023 and the latest version, Llama 2, in July 2023.
It is trained on a massive dataset of text and code and can generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way.
Llama is open source and still under development, but it has the potential to be a powerful tool for communication and automation.
