this week's Hour of Calm continues our stress relief for spring theme with a practice to release jaw, hip and psoas pain and explore how resistance contributes to tension build-up. My YouTube class this week is a complete contrast with a 20 minute full-body strengthening class for your follicular stage (if you menstruate) or to support bone density work in perimenopausal and menopausal women. This is a very fun practice using blocks to build body resistance and help you engage your muscles. That's it for this week, but coming up on the 24th I'm running a 1.5hr workshop on anxiety that is open to everyone. This workshop will introduce the anxiety spectrum, explore when you need to reach out for more support, offer some different tools and approaches to try, and also focus on how to have a conversation with someone about anxiety. I'll be thinking particularly about anxiety in the workplace, especially in academia, but anyone is welcome, and the workshop is particularly appropriate for anyone wanting to feel more equipped to deal with anxiety in students and colleagues.
