Dear supporters,
I can't believe it is the end of September already, this month feels like it has flown by.
Somatic Yoga is on at The Yoga Tree and online tomorrow night 6-7pm, continuing our theme of 'Move into joy'. This week's class will be focused on the solar plexus. This bundle of nerve endings plays a role in mediating the stress response, helping to move us up into sympathetic and back down to rest and digest. So we'll be doing a mix of somatic yoga and yin yoga to compress and release through the solar plexus, and target the midline of the body, whilst thinking about confidence and assertiveness. You can book to join in person here, on online here.
Look out on Monday for a new 35 minute class on YouTube. This week's practice is a beautiful fascial flow for the whole of the back body, from your feet all the way to your neck. The fascia holds a lot of the tension and pain we tend to notice building up during the week so these are some lovely movements to feel more ease in the body. You can find it, and all my YouTube classes, here.
Last but not least, booking is now open for Soma! Soma is my bi-monthly workshop at The Yoga Tree, focusing on somatic and trauma informed yoga practices. The next Soma is on Sunday 27th October 10.30-12.30 and will be all about the spine. I am very passionate about the spine and building in essential movements to support spine health as I know how much of a difference they make in helping us stay pain free and mobile, as well as playing vital roles in our mental health and nervous system states (yes really). Book your spot in the workshop now here.
Ok that's it for now, but if you aren't signed up for my full newsletter do pop over to beathacoaching.org and subscribe as I'll be releasing a special update for my second anniversary of starting Beatha Coaching this week!
love
