Introduction

Cyber security is one of the most important aspects of our lives. We need to be secure from cyber attack to protect our digital devices and accounts.

What is cyber attack?

A cyber attack is an act of malicious software or hardware that infects a computer, network and/or other electronic devices. The target of the attack can be either property or individuals.

A number of different types of attacks exist, including:

  • Email phishing scams — these involve sending messages with links to sites that look legitimate but are actually designed to steal personal information from users (such as passwords or credit card numbers).

  • Social engineering — this involves tricking people into giving up personal information by phone calls or emails; often this will involve impersonating someone in authority who could help resolve an issue for you if only they had access to your account information.

How to be secure from cyber attack?

The most common way to be secure from cyber attack is by using a password manager. This tool will generate random passwords for you, as well as store them in an encrypted format on your device. You can also use two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into different services such as Gmail or Facebook.

Another way to protect yourself from cyber attacks is by choosing strong passwords that are hard for hackers to guess because they use letters and numbers only, no special symbols or words like “12345” etc., which are easy for hackers to crack through computers using brute force attacks where they try every possible combination until they get one which works! If you’re not sure what this means then just Google it and read up on how hackers do it!

How to prevent yourself from being hacked?

You can use a password manager to manage all your passwords. The best part is that it will create strong, unique passwords for you and store them in the cloud so you don’t have to remember them yourself.

You should also update your software and install security patches on a regular basis. This way, if there are any holes or bugs in the software, they will be patched quickly and efficiently before anyone else finds out about them.

Finally, make sure that two-factor authentication is enabled wherever possible; this means that even if someone has access to your account (e.g., when logging into Facebook), they won’t be able to get into other parts of their account unless they have both something like a password AND something else like an authentication code sent via text message or email as well as some sort of device at hand such as an app downloaded onto their phone (or computer).

Password safety and security.

  • Use strong passwords. The most common passwords are “123456” and “password”. These are easy to guess, but they’re also the most likely to be used by hackers. If you have more than one account on your computer or phone, don’t use the same password for all them (and don’t use personal information as a password).

  • Keep track of your passwords! You should write down which ones you use when logging into websites or apps so that if one gets stolen in an attack, you can change it without having to think about it too much.

Secure your Wi-Fi router.

There are many steps you can take to secure your Wi-Fi router. First, make sure that the password you use is strong. A strong password should be a minimum length of 16 characters with at least one lowercase letter and one uppercase letter. The longer the password, the better it will protect against hackers looking for weak passwords that can be easily cracked by computers using brute force or dictionary attacks.

Next, please make sure not to reuse any of your existing passwords on other devices! This is especially important if those devices include sensitive information like financial accounts or email addresses where someone could access them without knowing what they were doing (and therefore also make it easier for hackers).

Finally: always update/upgrade your router whenever possible!

Log out of online accounts.

Log out of online accounts when you are not using them.

You should also log out of your accounts if you’re in a public place like a restaurant or coffee shop, or if you’re at home but don’t need access to an account (for example, if someone else is using it). You should also log out of accounts when you are not at work — this is especially important if there’s anyone else who could access that computer and see their personal information!

Avoid Phishing Fraud.

  • Avoid Phishing Fraud.

Phishing is a scam that uses email to steal personal information from people who may be victims of identity theft. The emails appear to come from a legitimate source, like your bank or employer, but they request sensitive information not related to the person whose account was compromised. For example, if you had been receiving confirmation emails regarding an upcoming purchase and then suddenly stopped receiving them after clicking on one link in the email, this could be considered phishing fraud because it’s designed to trick you into giving up your password (or other account details) so that someone else can use it instead of yourself!

Security of your digital devices and accounts.

  • Use a password manager.

  • Use a VPN (virtual private network).

  • Two-factor authentication is another way to secure your digital devices and accounts, as it requires two different types of identification: something you know (such as a password or PIN) and something you have (such as your phone or text message). For example, with Google’s two-factor authentication setup, you would enter your username and password into an online form; then the company will send you an SMS message asking for verification codes that are sent to your mobile device via text message when they are needed. This provides extra security because there will always be someone around who knows both pieces of information — the username/password combo plus the one-time code sent via SMS — and thus makes it much harder for hackers to access sensitive data stored on those devices once they’ve been compromised by malware or other means.

Antivirus software

Antivirus software is a must for your device. Make sure you have the latest version of the software and make sure it’s updated regularly, as well as having a firewall installed on your device. A good anti-malware and anti-ransomware program would also be very useful.

To protect yourself from a cyber attack, follow these simple and easy steps.

To protect yourself from a cyber attack, follow these simple and easy steps:

  • Use strong passwords.

  • Be careful with emails. Don’t click on links in them and don’t open suspicious files attached to them unless you know what they are or who sent them to you. If someone asks for your password by email, change it immediately! You can also use Google Chrome extensions like Password Alert that will alert you if someone tries to log into your accounts using new passwords or similar ones (like they did with Ashley Madison).

Conclusion

Here are some of the tips we discussed in this blog post. You can use these to protect yourself from cyber attack and get rid of hackers. If you want to stay safe, make sure to follow these steps and remain vigilant about your online activity.
