The Bald Who Whispered Death

Part Three – The Lather Must Fall” (Comedy)

Dear Readers,

The desert was quiet.

Too quiet.

I was sitting beneath the shadow of my beard-brush-shaped fortress in Morocco, sipping mint tea, polishing the shine on my head with a silk cloth made from retired bowties. A single pigeon watched me nervously. They always get nervous when my scalp catches sunlight; there’s a 60% chance they’ll go blind.

I was at peace.

Until he arrived.

Bond.

Again.

He didn’t come crashing through a window this time. No explosive entry. No stunt double. Just walked through the front gate, looking tired, tanned, and, for once, humble.

“I need your help,” he said.

I blinked. Adjusted my glasses (still on my head, of course). And nearly dropped my tea.

“You? Need me?” I said, beard twitching with disbelief. “Is this some new MI6 tactic? Compliment the enemy until they dissolve in gratitude?”

He sat down. “It’s about him. About Sebastian Silk.”

Oh no.

I hadn’t heard that name in years.

Sebastian Silk.
The man with the most perfect hair in history.
Shiny. Wavy. Always bouncing in slow motion, even in real life.

He used to do shampoo commercials that made people weep. He once crashed the global beard oil market by releasing a unisex conditioner. He was evil. Beautiful. And completely unhinged.

“What does he want now?” I asked.

Bond lit a cigarette (just to look cool, I know for a fact he doesn’t even inhale). “He’s built a satellite that rains… shampoo.”

I dropped my teacup.

“Say that again.”

“He’s calling it ‘Operation Latherfall.’” Bond said grimly. “It’s a hair-care takeover. If it activates, every bald head on the planet will be soaked. Every beard is drenched. Every man, woman, and child will have volumised roots whether they want it or not.”

I stood slowly.

“He’s trying to reverse baldness by force.”

Bond nodded.

I walked over to my control panel and flipped a switch. An entire wall rotated, revealing… my Emergency Anti-Shampoo Arsenal™.

Dozens of strange gadgets gleamed.
Scalp umbrellas. Beard flamethrowers. Dry shampoo bombs are designed to choke entire armies.

I sighed.

“I swore I’d never work with you, Bond.”

“And I swore I’d never trust a man who polishes his head like a trophy,” he replied.

“But here we are,” I muttered.

“Here we are.”

And just like that, we were in it together.

Jacob and Bond.

Shiny skull and stylish stubble. Beard and buzz. Past and present.

Our mission: infiltrate Sebastian Silk’s floating hair resort, “The LUXURY STRAND”, a golden yacht the size of a city, constantly drifting in international waters, blasting love ballads and leaving trails of mousse across the sea.

We parachuted in together, Bond in a tux, me in a black robe with a wind-resistant beard braid. We landed on deck to the sound of violins and spa noises.

Guests were everywhere, models, influencers, billionaires, all hypnotised by Sebastian’s scent.
He was distributing hair serum from golden fountains. One sniff, and you lose all your edge. You started saying things like “I just want to feel conditioned, you know?”

We broke into his control room, disabling guards with beard-chokeholds and reflective scalp flashes.

But then, he appeared.

Sebastian Silk.

Flowing white robe.
Golden hair that shimmered in the moonlight.
A smile that could ruin economies.

“Well, well, well,” he purred. “If it isn’t 007… and 000.7.”
He looked directly at me. “Jacob. I thought I smelled failure and sandalwood.”

I stepped forward. “Hello, Sebastian. Still shedding like a golden retriever, I see.”

He sneered.

“You could’ve joined me, Jacob. I was going to give the world what it really wants, full hairlines. Luscious locks. Moisture. Shine. Not this… dome cult you run.”

Bond raised his gun. “It’s over, Silk.”

Sebastian raised a single hand.
Suddenly, the walls shifted, hairdryers unfolded from the ceiling, giant curling irons clicked into place, and the floor beneath us turned into a battlefield of hair tools.

And then… he attacked.

Sebastian launched conditioner grenades. I countered with beard-wire lassos. Bond dual-wielded razors like a barbershop ninja.

The fight was absurd.
There was mousse. Fire. A literal shampoo tornado.
At one point, I rode a giant comb like a surfboard while launching dry shampoo bombs off the back.

Bond finally reached the control panel and initiated the satellite shutdown.

But Silk lunged at me, rage in his eyes, hair swirling like a demonic shampoo commercial.

“You’ll NEVER kill shine, Jacob!”

I caught him by the hair mid-flight, wrapped it around my wrist like a rope, and whispered:

“I’m not trying to kill it. I’m trying to cleanse it.”

And I tossed him into the rinse cycle of his own hair spa.

The last thing we heard was him screaming,
“MY VOLUME! MY BOUNCE!”

Bond and I stood there, drenched in hair product. Silent.

Then he looked at me.

“You’re still a lunatic.”

I nodded. “And you still use three-in-one shampoo. We all have flaws.”

Now the world is safe.
The bald are free.
The satellites are down.
The skies are clear.

Bond went back to MI6.
I went back to my beard temple in the dunes.

We don’t talk much.

But every now and then, when I see a faint glint of conditioner left on the pavement… I know it’s not over.

Somewhere… a comb is being sharpened.
A hair commercial is being filmed.
A shampoo bottle is being opened in vengeance.

And when that day comes?

I’ll whisper death again.

Until next time,
