The Bald Who Whispered Death
A spy thriller, and an international villain, master of light, terror of shadows. (Comedy).

Dear Readers,
They never saw me coming.
Not MI6, not the KGB, not the CIA, not even James bloody Bond. They underestimated the shine of my scalp, mistook my silence for serenity, my smile for peace, my baldness… for weakness.
Fools.
I wasn’t born bald, I was forged bald, in a freak accident involving a malfunctioning hair dryer, an unstable shampoo compound, and a botched exorcism in a Monaco back alley. My hair fled in terror. The darkness within me stayed, and it grew.
Let me take you back to where it all began:
Monaco, the glittering jewel of excess, where I hosted a fake charity gala for “Orphans of Moisturiser Mishaps.” The irony was delicious. The guest list was a who’s-who of the world’s elite, spies, diplomats, billionaires, and Instagram influencers pretending to be all three.
I arrived in a velvet suit, my dragon-beard braid cascading to my waist, my glasses perched uselessly on my gleaming dome, catching the chandelier light like a disco ball of doom.
The crowd parted. Cameras flashed. Whispers rippled through the room.
“Is that the philosopher tech billionaire?” one guest murmured.
“No,” another hissed. “That’s The Shine.”
And I was. I am.
By day, I peddled artisanal beard oils laced with a subtle mind-control serum, distributed through boutique barbershops worldwide.
By night, I weaponised my baldness. My crowning achievement?
Project SolarSkull, a mega-laser powered by the synchronised reflections of bald heads across the globe, linked through microscopic scalp transmitters hidden in barbershop mirrors.
Ridiculous? Perhaps. Effective? Devastatingly so.
But then he came. Bond.
James Bond. License to kill, license to flirt, license to wear a tuxedo in 40-degree heat without a single bead of sweat. He infiltrated my private floating casino, a marvel of engineering shaped like my own scalp, floating off the Monaco coast. People laughed when I built it. They stopped laughing when it opened fire with concealed photon cannons.
Bond thought he could blend in.
Please. I smelled his hair gel from a kilometre away, that cloying mix of cedarwood and arrogance. He sauntered up to the bar, ordered his predictable martini, shaken, not stirred, because of course, and I approached, my beard flowing like a dark river, my glasses fogging slightly from the sea breeze.
“Shaken, not stirred?” I asked, sliding into the chair across from him, my voice smooth as polished chrome.
He smirked, his eyes glinting like a predator’s. “You must be Jacob.”
“I must,” I replied, leaning forward. “And you must be here to fail.”
We played baccarat, the stakes higher than the chandelier above us. I won every hand, not because I cheated, but because I’d trained with Tibetan monks who could read cards through sheer willpower. Also, my X-ray contact lenses didn’t hurt. After his fifth loss, Bond raised an eyebrow. “You do enjoy theatrics.”
I smiled, my scalp catching the light and sending a beam across his face. “You haven’t even seen my bathroom mirror room.”
He didn’t laugh. Neither did I.
Later that night, he made his move, sneaking into my control centre disguised as a janitor.
A janitor! With that jawline?
Amateur.
My security drones, AI-trained to vaporise anyone with even a single hair, locked onto him instantly. Alarms blared. I stepped into the room, clapping slowly, because every good villain knows the slow clap is mandatory.
“007,” I said, my voice dripping with menace, “you’ve come to stop SolarSkull. Admirable. Idiotic. Very on-brand.”
He drew his Walther PPK, its barrel gleaming under the neon glow of my lair. I raised a palm, and a blinding beam of sunlight shot from my scalp, reflected through a labyrinth of mirrors I’d installed, each one angled to amplify my dome’s power. It was like a barber’s fantasy turned into a laser show. Bond staggered, screamed, and dropped his gun, shielding his eyes.
I leaned down, my beard brushing his ear, and whispered, “You brought bullets to a bald fight.”
The fight was glorious. Punches flew. Kicks landed. At one point, I whipped my beard like a lasso, catching his wrist and yanking him off balance. He retaliated with a roundhouse kick, which I blocked with my head. The impact rang like a church bell, my scalp vibrating with power. But Bond, being Bond, had a trick up his sleeve. From his pocket, he produced a canister and sprayed me with, God help me, dry shampoo.
The cloud enveloped my scalp, dulling its shine, clogging its reflective perfection. My power flickered. I stumbled, my glasses sliding down to my nose. The audacity of this man! I fell to one knee, gasping as the room spun.
Bond seized the moment, sprinting to the control panel and activating the self-destruct sequence for my casino. The countdown began, sixty seconds to oblivion. He smirked, already halfway to the exit. But I wasn’t done. I whispered into my hidden mic, “Initiate Dome Protocol.”
A trapdoor opened beneath him. He plummeted, landing in a salon chair deep within the casino’s underbelly. Straps snapped into place, pinning his arms and legs. Bald monks emerged from the shadows, their scalps gleaming like a council of miniature suns. I descended from the ceiling on a platform shaped like a giant razor, my velvet suit billowing dramatically.
Bond’s eyes widened. “What is this?”
“Redemption,” I said, my voice low and final. “Goodbye, follicles.”
The monks advanced, wielding electric clippers that hummed with menace. But Bond, damn him, was slippery. A pigeon, yes, a pigeon, flew in through a vent, dropping a smoke bomb. Don’t ask me how. In the chaos, Bond escaped, the self-destruct sequence still ticking. My casino exploded in a blaze of glory, and I barely made it out, diving into the Monaco harbour as my scalp-shaped fortress sank into the sea.
MI6 declared me dead. Bond thought he’d won. The world believed it was safe. Fools, all of them.
I relocated to Iceland, deep underground, where I built a new base heated by vats of artisanal beard wax. The air smells of cedar and ambition.
My new project, ScalpNet, is nearing completion, a neural-linked hive-mind of bald operatives, controlling satellites, launching sonic beard attacks, and working toward my ultimate goal: the global eradication of conditioner. Why conditioner? Because it’s the enemy of truth, the opiate of the hairy masses, a lie that keeps humanity tethered to weakness.
But I’m not just a villain. I’m a visionary. My beard, now longer and more intricate, is braided with fibre-optic strands that pulse with data. My glasses, still perched on my head, double as a heads-up display for ScalpNet’s progress.
Every morning, I polish my dome with a cloth woven from the silk of Himalayan spiders, aligning my mind with the cosmos.
I am no longer just Jacob. I am The Shine, the whisperer of death through light, the harbinger of silence through beard.
Bond may have escaped, but he’s not safe. No one is. I’ve infiltrated barbershops on every continent, planting transmitters in mirrors, recruiting the bald to my cause. The world will bow to the power of the dome, or it will burn in the light of my reflection.
This is not the end. It’s barely the beginning.
My name is Jacob, and I am not done yet.
hehehehehehehh
I will be back Bond.
