It all started with berries.
Sweet. Ripe. Perfect. The kind that grow only once a year in a secret meadow deep in the tundra. Awebo found them first, chirping joyfully, wings flapping:
— AWEBO, AWEBO, today we feast!
But then… the sky darkened.
From the shadows stepped HIM — Larry. Silent. Grim. With feathers that shimmered like storm lightning — deep purple, almost black.
He glanced at the berries, then at Awebo, and growled softly:
— Leave.
Awebo froze. His fluffy belly trembled.
— B-but… I found them first?
Larry didn’t care. He stepped closer, radiating cold like northern wind.
— The strong get the berries.
From that moment — rivalry.
One is bright, loud, full of light.
The other — a walking storm.
And between them — an endless battle for berries, glory… and the tundra.
