This Was a Side Project. Now It’s in Google Play

My first mobile app was approved and released yesterday on Google Play. Yes, it survived review. Yes, I’m still processing the fact that this is not a dream.

The app is called GroundBreaker: Push-up Tracker and here’s the link in all its glory.

So what is it?

It’s a completely free fitness app that helps you build and track a consistent push-up habit. You get different workout modes, like sets & reps, pyramid climbs, EMOM intervals and more. The app logs your sessions, tracks your streaks, and reminds you to train without clutter, ads or forced accounts. Everything is stored locally and your data stays on your phone.

The journey from idea to production looked exactly like you’re imagining:

Excitementfixing things that were definitely already fixedwaitingmore waiting → “Your app has been approved” followed by a brief existential pause.

If you want to support future development (or just appreciate the fact I survived Google Play review), Buy Me a Pixel 👾 is still a thing.

And if not, the app is free, go give it a spin and let me know how many push-ups you can justify skipping.
