The last Monday of 2021
It was a beautiful day,
full of promise and hope to see you.
But as I walked over the bridge above the blue bay,
I watched the sun slowly descend into the water, turning red and orange in the sky.
a man and a woman were holding each other tight.
They pushed their heads against each other and they kissed.
They were saying goodbye to something that wasn't there.
