A new release of darty went live today (1/23/2024) with a couple small, but oft-requested, features, all related to Shanghai.
First, if you mark or score a 3B or score a Shanghai, the active player automatically moves to the next shooter, as if you had also hit "Enter". This should help a frequent complaint where people mark their 3B and walk away, since there's nothing else that can be marked or scored on that turn.
Second, there's a hopefully improved experience for scoring on closed double/triples/3Bs. The dartboard displays as before, but when you make a selection, the value shows boldly and very large, and there's a small animation to indicate that your selection has been noted and will be saved shortly. Any feedback on how to make this better would be appreciated.
Finally, there's a bug fix in this release to correctly score if you choose the bullseye for shanghai double or 3B. It will also now correctly ignore if you attempt to score a bullseye for a triple. No one ever complained about this bug before, probably because it would only come up so rarely.
Shoot well!
